Radio system

Use radio waves to detect the azimuth, distance, and distance difference of the target or the launching station to realize the positioning of the ship. In addition to the direction finder and radar, radio navigation systems mainly include "Laolan A", "Laolan C", "Taka", "Omega" and so on. Radio navigation is not restricted by the weather, the equipment is simple, the reliability is strong, but the concealment is poor, it is easy to be interfered, destroyed and anti-utilized, and cannot provide reference attitude information.

Naval Satellite System

(NNSS-navy navigation sa-tellite system) an approximately circular polar orbit satellite network composed of 4 to 6 satellites with a height of about 1,100 kilometers and ground tracking stations, computing centers, injection stations, naval time synchronization stations, and ship receiving Machine, computer, etc. When the navigation satellite enters the radio horizon, the ship receiver automatically measures the Doppler frequency shift, and interprets the orbit parameters and time signals sent by the satellite, and calculates the ship position through the computer.

The navy satellite navigation system has the advantages of global coverage, all-weather, high precision, etc., but the composition is complicated and it cannot be continuously positioned. The NAVSTAR/GPS, which will be used soon, can provide continuous positioning and improve accuracy.

Inertial system

According to Newton's law of motion, an accelerometer is used to measure the acceleration of the ship's movement, and accumulate these accelerations to determine the speed and position of the ship. The whole system is a stable platform composed of three gyroscopes, which is always maintained on a plane tangent to the earth's surface to provide accurate horizontal reference information. The platform is equipped with two accelerometers in the north-south direction and the east-west direction to measure the acceleration and integrate the time to obtain the north-south and east-west velocity components.

The sum of these two speed components is the actual track and speed of the ship's movement, which are continuously calculated by the computer to obtain and display the real-time geographic coordinate position of the ship. The inertial navigation system is a completely autonomous and passive navigation system, and is an indispensable navigation device for nuclear-powered submarines and oceanographic survey ships. However, its manufacturing process has high requirements and high cost. The positioning error increases with the accumulation of time and must be corrected at regular intervals.
